Support Group – Week 1 Meeting minutes
And so, we gathered. A handful of tired souls drawn together by the feeling that something is not quite right when we close our eyes. Introductions were made. Names were shared (or at least, names we’re willing to admit to).
Welcome, Sleepless Ones
Common themes emerged:
• Relief - Because nothing says "I’m not losing my mind" like finding others who see the same horrors in the dark.
• Length of time - Some of us have been having these nightmares for years, some only recently
What’s Lurking in Our Heads?
We compared notes. It wasn’t comforting.
• Fog & Cold – A biting chill, thick mist, the sense that if we step too far, we’ll vanish.
• Recurring Locations – The same street, the same house, the same door. We never remember how we got there.
• The Cat That Knows Too Much – One of us has a cat that just stares at them at 3 AM. Staring at what, though?
• Unshakable Sensations – Cold that lingers. Hands gripping ankles. The weight of something unseen.
Theories, Wild and Otherwise
We tried to explain it all. The results were mixed:
• Psychology? Maybe our brains are just stress-filled haunted houses.
• Collective Dreaming? What if we’re all dipping into the same unconscious world?
• Something Older? Myths, legends, old things with long memories…
How to Keep the Nightmares at Bay (Or At Least Try)
We shared our survival tactics:
• Dream Journals – Write it down. You might see a pattern. Or worse, something might write back.
• Mindfulness & Relaxation – Breathe deep. Pretend nothing’s creeping closer. Works for some.
• Bedtime Rituals – A cup of tea, a locked door, and never ever looking under the bed.
• Grounding Techniques – When waking, touch something real. Anything to remind yourself you’re here.
The meeting ended. The screen went dark. But something tells us we’re not really alone.

A Disturbing Cluster
What’s happening in Bristol?
• A map was posted, connecting all of us experiencing the nightmares. The cluster was impossible to ignore.
Something Hidden in the Prescription
We have all been prescribed Zopiclone to help with insomnia:
• The prescription contained a coded message, hinting that someone knows what is happening and is taking a risk by reaching out.
• At the bottom was a handwritten note and QR code.
The Doctor’s Warning
For those who followed the clues, a website was unlocked, revealing a message from an anonymous doctor:
• More and more people are being prescribed Zopiclone for recurring nightmares.
• Patients are waking up with horrifying injuries: corneal scratches, optic nerve damage, even complete eye removal.
• Doctors are being told to keep prescribing the drug, despite its ineffectiveness.
• The doctor woke up with a scratch on their eye, something they could not explain.
• They do not believe the drug is the cause. The nightmares are.
Are We Just Scratching the Surface?
The discussion was frantic, uneasy and laced with nervous humour as we tried to make sense of it all:
• Some of us live in Bristol, others were relieved they did not.
• Urgency sank in. This doctor is risking their career to warn us.
• Doubt over the medication. Some are hesitant to take it, while others are too desperate for sleep to care.
• Physical symptoms are appearing. Many of us woke up with bloodshot eyes, itching, or a deep scratching sensation beneath the skin.
• Some of us want out. One member decided to leave town after seeing the prescription.

A local news article reported four unexplained deaths. Victims were found in bed with horrific eye injuries but no signs of struggle. Doctors are baffled, and nightmares in the city are rising. The updated map shows a growing cluster near Glasgow.
The Cancelled Exhibition and a Secret Auction
The Glasgow Photography Heritage Museum abruptly cancelled The Nightmare Chronicles: The Lost Collection of Hippolyte Baraduc, citing recent events. A coded message in their email revealed a secret auction.

We are noticing a link between nightmare hotspots and underground tunnel networks. Glasgow, Bristol, Nottingham and others all have significant underground systems. Many are close to bodies of water, suggesting past efforts to divert or contain something.
• The Odic Force and Old Photography Methods
Research into Hippolyte Baraduc’s work suggests he tried to capture "soul energy" through photography. This connects to the Odic Force, a theorised energy field emitted by living beings. Some speculate that whatever is happening to us might be leaving similar imprints.
• Eye Damage and Sleep Paralysis
Theories range from parasites to something worse. Are our eyes rejecting us?

Support Group – Week 4 Meeting minutes
Lot 3: The Notes
The group received Lot 3 from the secret auction. Four notes by Hippolyte Baraduc describe a creature preying on dreamers. It's unknown who acquired the other lots.
Note 1: Baraduc photographed his friend Father Léon Montrose during sleep and captured a dark presence. Montrose later died, his eyes destroyed.
Note 2: A witch named Geneviève advised Baraduc to use a tea made from purple herbs to enter sleep together with others and see the creature.
Note 3: He described the Ritual of the Anchor, where one person shares a personal object tied to sleep, linking all dreamers during the full moon to seek the creature.
Note 4: He planned to perform the ritual on the next full moon, but feared he would not live long enough to complete it.
A message from the Glasgow Photography Heritage Museum warned that Baraduc may have been right. His original notes are missing, and records suggest he died before completing the ritual.

What Happened at the Sinkhole
Isla travelled to Godstone to see the sinkhole. When Mercury, Venus and the Moon aligned, people saw terrifying figures in the pit and fled, but Isla saw nothing. While others panicked, Isla thought of the anchor, and the ground beneath her feet changed to silver sand. Following a path in the dunes, she discovered a mask resembling Eleanor’s drawing of a face with one eye open and one closed. Isla believes the mask revealed itself because she hadn’t taken the tea or the pill.
Dreams, Symbols and the Ritual
Aaron questioned why Isla was drawn to the mask. KF suggested the anchor may have "pulled" her there and compared it to quantum entanglement or "as above, so below" pathways, suggesting that Isla’s connection to the mask was intentional. The group discussed whether the ritual, tea and planetary alignment were part of preparing for the mask’s reawakening.
Mass Hallucination or Shared Experience?
Nina proposed the alignment could have triggered a shared hallucination. The tea and pills might have allowed participants to see hidden entities.

Filming the Mask
Isla posted a video of the mask.
Through the camera lens, she saw blood and a vortex with planets through the eyehole. The video ended with strange sounds that SJ decoded as 20/03/2025, the date of the Spring Equinox.
Who Is Running the Stormjar Account?
Stormjar revealed familiarity with the Nightmare Market and admitted to knowing more than previously disclosed.
Aaron Put on the Mask
During the blood moon, Aaron wore the mask. His body went rigid and he started shaking before laughing in a deep, unnatural voice. Isla pulled the mask off and Aaron collapsed. Afterward, he experienced intense eye redness, mucus buildup and recurring dreams of falling accompanied by a demonic laugh.
Dreams, Entities and Theories
• KF proposed that Isla and Aaron may be connected to two opposing entities, as they heard different laughs in their dreams.
• The mask might represent a tool linked to protection or possession depending on the wearer.

Then, Isla McKenna arrived with breaking news. Detective Inspector Fraser had been found dead that morning. The group had not been speaking to him at all.
The DI fell silent.
Panic set in. Who had they been speaking to? Was it a hoax or something worse?
Then, the Stormjar account spoke one last time:
"She let it in. And some of you have let it in too."
And then... nothing.
The chat erupted. Had they been manipulated from the start? Was the support group itself a trap?
As fear spread, they questioned everything:
• The tea ritual. Was it a ruse to allow something in?
• The museum’s involvement. Why had their auction lot arrived with an ominous note?
• Baraduc’s research. Was he deceived in the same way?
• The face with one eye open and one closed. What did it truly represent?

Members received their tea, each package containing a torn parchment with symbols of the Moon, Mercury and Venus.
A Founding Member Steps Forward
Professor Eleanor MacGregor, a founding member, revealed her identity. A sleep researcher at Glasgow University, she disclosed that she had received an unmarked package containing:
• A 1980s computer that powered on without being plugged in.
• A message on-screen: “Play this during your ritual and listen carefully.”
• A floppy disk, ejected without prompt.
The Ritual and the disk
During the ritual, as the group drank the tea and focused on the anchor object, Eleanor played the disk.
